100% Savings!!!!
So, because my snoring and bed hogging, plus the dogs noises and bed hogging, kept Jamie up all night, he was able to get us 100% savings tonight at Shaws!!! We actually got a penny back!! And it was only natural that I dropped it on the way out and it went under a shelf!! The subtotal actually came out to 16 cents, but then the tax was -17 cents.. not sure why.... When the total came up the cashier asked the bagger "Does that mean I giver her a penny?" I was like, "yup, I think it does!"

Shaws Trip
Jamie, my boyfriend (who says he doesnt want anything to do with couponing, but really gets into it when we go) and I took a trip to Shaw's after work today. We didn't plan it out, but had looked at the flyer so we had a good idea of what we wanted. We set a budget of $50. We ended up getting way more than we thought we would be able to (we did go over budget by a little, but it was still with-in the over-budget, budget LOL). I still get a little anxious when we go. We have always been generic buyers. So, to go shopping and load the cart with name-brand items is very stressful to me. It all seems to work out in the end, so far anyway!!!

What am I doing!!!!
I started couponing to get more product for less money.
My family lives paycheck to paycheck... We go shopping every 2 weeks. I hate that our cupboards are bare when shopping week comes around.
My first couple trips with coupons were pretty smooth.. I went just for a few items and didnt have any problems... Today I did my first organized, multi-transaction trip.. I stopped at Shaws, CVS and Rite Aid. Each store there were some items that I wasnt able to get because they were out of stock. Shaws and CVS worked out well. At Rite Aid I couldnt find things, not all sales were labeled and I had to try to adjust to make sure that everything was going to work out even though I wasnt able to get some product. Luckily I had lots of support from my boyfriend.. In the end, it all worked out.
